Joey is a multifaceted visionary, influential brand strategist, creative designer and professional DJ, hence the moniker, JoeyStaysBusy.

 

With the innate ability to enhance business-to-business relationships through critical thinking and resilient execution, Joey brings ten years of experience in creating objective-based initiatives for company business models with a measurable, solution-driven focus . Joey has produced bottom-line results through establishing relevant strategic marketing concepts, implementing contemporary industry best practices and creating proprietary methods. Using ingenuity and compelling insights as an inspiration, Joey provides quality deliverables that align with his client's strategic business objectives.

 

Joey is a 2004 graduate of Morehouse College where he received a BA in Business Administration and served as President of the Class of 2004. Post graduation, Joey worked for Deloitte Consulting, LLC as a Human Capital Consultant in the service area of Organization and People Performance. After deciding to leave Deloitte in pursuit of higher education, Joey worked for The Richmond Group, LLC, an experiential marketing firm, as both a Project Manager and Marketing Strategist. While working with The Richmond Group, Joey proposed and implemented modern concepts for business partnerships to accomplish campaign objectives and reach the clients’ target demographic. Joey also negotiated and secured partnerships with notable musical talent and celebrity luminaries for client promotional tours. While serving as Project Manager, Joey led brand ambassadors and staff to achieve clients’ purposed vision. As an integral part of his role, Joey developed experiential/engagement concepts, negotiated contracts and managed activations for fully-integrated advertising campaigns, and promotional affairs for the following clients: BMW Corporation, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Bermuda Department of Tourism, McDonald’s Corporation, Bombay Sapphire, Grey Goose, Courvoisier, Atlantic Records, Def Jam Records, and Uptown Magazine, HBO Film Festival, TNT and TBS,  TVOne and Essence Music Festival.

 

After receiving his Master of Business Administration and Master of Information Science degrees from North Carolina Central University, Joey joined Merge Consumer Marketing in Chicago as an Account Executive. Joey’s clients at Merge included: TV One, TNT, TBS, and the National Black MBA Association.

Prior to founding FRSH GDS CRE8TIV PARTNERS, Joey worked for commonground Marketing in Chicago, IL as a Sr. Account Executive where he managed strategic marketing objectives, client services and the daily procurement of creative assets. While at commonground Joey worked with the following brands:  Coca-Cola, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Fanta, Powerade, MillerCoors, Nissan North America and The Illinois Lottery.

Joey is also known as “Joey Thee DJ” . Although Joey has spun in a multitude of nightclubs across the nation, he is emerging as a premier DJ for special events, corporate functions and brand activations from NYC to LA. In the future, Joey looks forward to putting out some original concept albums and working alongside some of his favorite established artists and musicians as well as emerging talent from his home state of South Carolina. Joey has opened up for and shared the stage with the likes of Big Daddy Kane, Kid Capri, MC Lyte, Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick to name a few and has spun for celebrity events and movie premieres for: Idris Elba, Rickey Smiley, Laz Alonzo, and Roland Martin.
